En Blanc Et Noir, Festival International de Piano was founded and artistically directed by Robert Turnbull, an English music critic living in Lagrasse, who died in December 2018. For a decade, young international pianists, most of them competition winners, have been coming in July to enchant the public of Lagrasse under the Halle, a listed 14th century monument. This festival, entirely free of charge, welcomes you for concerts at noon, 6pm and 9.30pm in this enchanting setting. The music on offer gives pride of place to classical and romantic composers, but you can also hear arrangements of rock and jazz classics or arrangements by Cuban and Latin American composers. Supported by the local authorities, EBEN finds its main resource in donations from individuals.
